Stunning landscape

Amid dense forests is São Miguel's highest crater lake. Located on the Agua de Pau volcano, more than 500 meters above sea level, this blue-green lake is surrounded by crater rims that tower 950 meters high above the water. As a result, the lake exudes a mysterious atmosphere, like a hidden emerald in the forested landscape.
